The founder of Hassidism was a holy sage named the Baal Shem Tov. ( Translating to " Master of the Good Name" )  People from around the globe travel to Medzhybizh, Ukraine to visit his resting place, & I was priviliged to visit as well in the year 2016. There is a running spring that is famed for healing powers, which sources the Baal Shem Tov's Mikvah ( ritual bath ). While visiting mid- January, it must've been lower than 15 degrees, yet the river flowed. No ice or snow, a clear stream. Arriving to this spring is a vision I will always remember, and that translated for me in this painting.
