In honor of the memory and life mission of Vivian Silver, a passionate advocate for peace in the Middle East, I created a painting inspired by a powerful image of her standing alongside a Palestinian woman in a field of vibrant poppies. The red anemones in the photo became a symbol of hope for me, representing the beauty and resilience that can flourish even in the midst of conflict.

Vivian's dedication to fostering peace in a region wrought with tension and violence serves as a guiding light for us all. Her unwavering commitment to building bridges and fostering understanding between diverse communities left a lasting impact on those who knew her.

As I painted this tribute to Vivian, I was moved by the blooming anemones in Israel, the state flower that signifies hope and renewal. Through my artwork, I seek to honor Vivian's memory by capturing the essence of her spirit – a beacon of hope and light in a world that so often feels dark and divided.

May this painting serve as a reminder of Vivian's legacy and her belief in the power of peace to transcend borders and bring people together. Let us carry forward her mission with courage and compassion, and may the red anemones continue to bloom as a testament to the enduring hope that shines bright in even the darkest of times.
